COPELAND, ARTHUR L. - age 92, of Knoxville, TN, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2012, at NHC Healthcare of Knoxville. He was of the Baptist faith, and worked for CNS Laundry for over 20 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served for 20 years and retiring as a Staff Sergeant. Preceded in death by parents, Guy and Bennie Lee Copeland; sister, Mary; and son, Bill Copeland. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Alice Martin Copeland; sons, Jim Copeland and wife Becky, Gary Copeland, Steve Copeland and wife Linda, and Bobby Copeland and with Susan; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Herbert Copeland of Sylvan Beach, NY, and Don Copeland of Greenwood, SC; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 8:00 pm with Rev. Jim Millirons officiating. The family and friends will meet at 2:15 pm, Thursday, December 20, 2012, at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel and travel in procession to Lynnhurst Cemetery for a 3:00 pm interment service with full military honors will be presented by Volunteer State Veterans Honor Guard.
