Rosetta (Caudill) Caudill was the daughter of Jeremiah P. "Jerry" and Nancy Ann (Campbell) Caudill. She married Henry Caudill on December 10, 1907, in Letcher County, KY. They had at least eight children: Matthew "Matt" Caudill, Hargis Caudill, Lee Caudill, Arthur Caudill, Forrester Caudill, Thelma (Caudill) Mullins, Ace Caudill and John Gorman Caudill. Rosetta and three of their children drowned in the flood of May 29, 1927. It is not known exactly when death occurred. The storm which caused the flash flooding began late Sunday night on May 29, 1927. So, it is possible that death could have actually occurred early on May 30th.
