Alberta F. Allen, age 85, of 1915 Bloomingdale Ave., Lancaster, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 3, 2007, at Lancaster Regional Medical Center with her daughter and granddaughter by her side. Death was due to natural causes.
Born in Terre Hill, PA, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Emma Lichty and the wife of the late Richard H. Allen, who died on Oct. 26, 1970.
Alberta was employed as an executive secretary for Firestone Tires, Burnham Boiler Corporation and various mobile home manufactures. She was a 1937 graduate of the former Terry Hill High School.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Alberta was an avid reader and an extensive world traveler. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and mental challenges.
Surviving are a daughter Denise A. Biddinger and a granddaughter Khristina Biddinger, who resided with Alberta. She was preceded in death by a brother James Lichty.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Alberta's Life Celebration service at St. Peter's Chapel of Grace Lutheran Church, 517 N. Queen St., Lancaster, PA, on Thursday at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Stephen P Verkouw officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
