POSTPONE SCHOOL PROGRAM

The Thanksgiving program to have been given by the pupils of the Kansas Avenue school Tuesday evening at a meeting of the Parent-Teacher association has been postponed because of the death of Carl Harrison, a pupil in the school.

Diphtheria Causes Death.

Carl James Harrison, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Harrison, 322 South Union street, died last night at his home, of diphtheria. Private funeral services will be at 2 o'clock at the home. Rev. J. C. Brogan will conduct the services. Burial will be in Maplewood cemetery.

Carl James Harrison was born November 4, 1915, in Cottonwood Falls. Three years ago he came to Emporia with his parents. He attended the Kansas avenue school.

He is survived [by] his parents, two sisters, Violet and Opal, and one brother, Ralph.

FUNERAL OF CARL HARRISON

Private funeral services for Carl James Harrison, who died Sunday night of diphtheria, were held at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the home. Rev. J.C. Brogan conducted the services. Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery.
