CHAD AVERY LIGHTFOOT Jr.
Age 6 years


Chad Avery Lightfoot Jr., a first-grade student, died Nov. 20 of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma at Children's Hospital in New Orleans.

He was 6 and lived in Franklin. He attended Foster Elementary School and went to Sunday school at St. Joseph Baptist Church.

Survivors include his father, Chad Avery Lightfoot Sr. of Homer; his mother, Diona Layton Lightfoot of Sioux City, Iowa; two sisters, Diondra Brown of Berwick and Julisa Druilhet of Sioux City; and his grandparents, Deborah Welch Bonet and Lawrence Layton Jr.

A funeral was held today at 8 p.m. at St. Joseph Baptist Church on Irish Bend Road in Franklin. Visitation was held at 6 p.m. Dismissal was on Thursday at 10 a.m. at the church.

Interment in Irish Bend Cemetery (Palo Alto). Otis Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
