George W. Anders, 75, of Leesburg, passed away on Monday evening, December 17, 2012 at Clinton Memorial Hospital.

George was born February 6, 1937 in Detroit, the son of Ethel and Earl Anders.

He had retired from Cincinnati Milacron after 45 years and is the owner of GMA Tractor Sales. A 4-H advisor for over 49 years, he was an avid horse enthusiast having 17 World Champions in the Buckskin Halter Class, and a longtime member of the Quarter Horse Buckskin Association, International Buckskin Association, American Quarter Horse Association and the Palomino Horse Breeders Association. He was also a member of the Leesburg Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marilyn Morris Anders. He is also survived by his son Dave Anders of Leesburg; three grandchildren; siblings, Martha Wright, Ruth Plott and Jim Anders; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by sisters, Naomi Gersbach-Woods, Elsie Sagert and Kay Patterson, and brothers, Albert and John Anders.

The funeral service will be on Friday at 11 am at the Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-8 with Masonic Services at 8 pm. Burial will be in the Sabina Cemetery.
