PULLMAN, Wash., March 22. - John R. Crithfield, 72, died Saturday at St. Ignatius hospital in Colfax. He had been a patient there for seven weeks. He was born October 23, 1875. at Gallatin, Mo. With his family he came to Pullman in 1915 and farmed for several years in the Ford district, later moving to town.
He was an officer on the Pullman police force from 1931 to 1943. In recent years he has been employed at the Washington hotel and Audian theater.
Survivors include two sons, Bryan Crithfield of Wawawai, Ferrel Crithfield of Renton and a daughter, Mrs. Jewell Smith of California, and five grandchildren. The body is at Kimball's Funeral home.
