Services for Joyce Grigg Amos, 67, Troup, are scheduled for 6:30 pm, Thursday, February 8, at the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home chapel, Overton with the Reverend Doctor Ron Klingsick officiating.

Additional services are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Tuesday, February 13, at Monterey Peninsula Mortuary, Seaside, California.

Burial will be in Mission Memorial Park, Seaside, California.
A visitation is scheduled from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Monday, February 12, at Monterey Peninsula Mortury, Seaside, California.
Mrs. Amos died Monday, February 5, at her residence.

She was born January 7, 1940, in Springfield, Missouri to the late Robert 'Bob' and Stella Chichester Grigg. She was a lifetime resident of California and moved to East Texas two years ago.

She was employed by Mervyn's in Salinas, California for 20 years. Mrs. Amos was a member of the Arp Emmanuel Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Helen Whitaker.

She married Ellsworth Amos, Jr., May 19, 1956, in Aptos, California.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Ellsworth Amos, Jr., Troup; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Jackie Amos, Memphis, Tennessee; two daughters and sons-in-law, Terri and Phil Arrendale, Rio Rancho, New Mexico and Leslie and Pat McChristy, Boise, Idaho; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Laura and Carl Sieber, Troup and Marilyn Jones and Dorothy Klein, both of Overton; seven grandchildren, Kelli, Mathieu, Kristin, Eric, Jenell, Lynsie, and Megan; and a great-granddaughter, Courtney and two great-grandchildren on the way; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd, Tyler, Texas, 75701.
