She was born in Wilkes-Barre Township April 2, 1916, and resided in the Wilkes-Barre area most of her life. Prior to retirement, Helen worked in the food processing industry at Armour and E.A. Roos Provisions. She graduated from Wilkes-Barre Township High School in 1934. Helen was a member of the Holy Cross Polish National Catholic Church, Wilkes-Barre.
Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband, Andrew; her sisters Bridget Geroski, Catherine Czuba, Frances Rahall; brother George Rahall.
Surviving are a son Robert and his wife, Noreen, Stroudsburg, Pa.; grandchildren Matthew Grivner and his wife, Kimberly, Woodbury, Conn.; Karen Cassidy and her husband, Robert, New Britain, Pa.
A private funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday from Robert Bednarski Funeral Home, 27 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre. The Very Rev. Thaddeus J. Dymkowski will officiate the 10 a.m. Mass of Burial at Holy Cross Polish National Catholic Church, 23 Sheridan St., Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre.
