He was the loving wife of Linda Dunn, at home.
Surviving in addition to his wife Linda, are children: Deborah Lynn, James E. Dunn Jr., Jennifer and Clayton; sister Barbara Spurge-on, 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Francis.

Born in Washington, DC on June 29, 1940, he was the son of the late Florence Carpenter. "Jimmy" was a mechanic, shop owner, diesel engine instructor, independent trucker, and avid drag racer.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children and step-children: Debra McIntosh, James E. Dunn, Jr., Jennifer Williams, Clayton Dunn, Jerry Peck, Richard and Darrell Crose. Special recognition to stepson Richie who was a devoted caretaker. Also survived by sister Barbara Jean Spurgeon. He was the proud grandfather of 12 and great grandfather of 3. Jimmy was pre-deceased by his sister, Ann Frances Watson and step-son Joseph Peck.
