Agnes M. Moxley, 89, died Friday, Feb. 26, 1999, at an Atchison senior home.

Mrs. Moxley was born on May 16, 1909, in Wathena, the daughter of Bernard and Elizabeth Carsten Gerardy. She attended Doniphan schools and graduated from Doniphan High School. She moved to Atchison in the late 1920s.

Mrs. Moxley was a machine operator for Atchison Leather Products until she retired in the early 1970s. She was a member of the First Christian Church, the church sewing group and a member of the What-So-Ever Sunday School class. She married Howard M. Moxley on Aug. 27, 1936, in Jefferson City, Mo., and he preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 1956. Mrs. Moxley was also preceded in death by a daughter, Marjorie Winger. Survivors include a son, Gary D. Moxley of Atchison; two brothers William Gerardy of LaJuanita, Colo., and Edward Gerardy of Kent, Wash.; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
