Amparo V. Castellano, 84, was a long time resident of Concepcion, Texas went to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 25 2009. She is preceded in death by her husband Raul Castellano, parents Maximo and Hermina Rios Vera, brothers David Vera and Jose F. Vera. She will be greatly missed by her survivors which include her son Jose R. Castellano (Cynthia), Patsy Cantu (Rene), Annabell C. Bazan (Lorenzo Jr.) and granddaughter whom she raised Melissa Castellano-Flores (Carlos), her brother Maximo Vera Jr.(Juanita), sisters Socorro Salinas, Delfina Hinojosa and Lydia Salinas (Babe) sisters-in-law Trinidad Vera and Mary Louise Vera. She also leaves behind to cherish her memories 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Holy Rosary will be recited on Friday, March 27, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at Garza Funeral Home in San Diego, Texas. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Concepcion Catholic Church in Concepcion, Texas. Interment will follow at Salinas Cemetery located on County Rd. 241 and 716 in Concepcion, Texas.

Pallbearers are Patrick, A.R. and Jaime Cantu, Raul and Armando Castellano, and Carlos Flores Jr.
