John Sylvester Sellers , a retired warehouse checker, died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was 76.

The Collins, Miss., native resided in Citronelle, where he attended Memorial Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Eva Dell Sellers of Citronelle; one son, Tommy James Sellers of Mobile; one daughter, Eva Merel Hendrix of Citronelle; two sisters, Beatrice Mabry of jackson, Miss., and Estelle Stewart of Mize, Miss.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral is set for 11 a.m. today at Memorial Baptist Church with 2 p.m. graveside services at Pine Crest Cemetery in Mobile. Freeman Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
