He was born on August 10, 1933 to Vincent Sam Valerio and Annette (Benalio) Valerio.

Samuel married Linda (Olson) Valerio on July 16, 1976 in Mt. Clare, IL.

He was a veteran of the Korean War where he served in the US Navy. He was a member of the St. Joseph's Church of Benld, IL, VFW Post 4547 of Gillespie, IL, American Legion Post of Highland, CA and Eagles Lodge of San Bernardino, CA.

He leaves behind his spouse, Linda Valerio of Mt. Clare, IL, son, Sammy (Judy) Valerio of Staunton, IL, sisters Delores Harbauer of San Bernardino, CA, Gloria Walker of Riverside, CA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Vincent Valerio and Louis Valerio.
