Velta Baldwin, a beauty operator, died Jan. 12 at Winchester Living Center in San Jose. A native of Kansas, she was 70.
She was the daughter of the late William and Dola Baldwin. She is survived by five siblings, LaVon Baldwin of San Bruno, Vondina W. Thompson, Virginia W. Carey, Gale L. Baldwin all of San Francisco, and Vivian B. Ingram of Santa Clara.
Memorial services were held Jan. 15 at Alta Mesa Memorial Park in Palo Alto.
