Acey Joseph was born in Morse, LA. on September 4, 1924 to the late Sidney Benoit and the late Eva Istre Benoit. Mr. Acey loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren who will forever cherish his memory. He also enjoyed working in his yard, shop, and attending Church services. He worked in the Oil Field Industry for 25 years and was a plant operator for Superior Oil. He was part owner of A & E Western Store.
Mr. Acey was survived by his four sons: George Ray Benoit (Elaine) of Breaux Bridge, LA., Michael Benoit of Tucson, AZ., Wayne Benoit (Brenda) of Jennings, LA., and Matt Benoit (Charlotta) of Lake Arthur, LA.; Two daughters, Melissa Cormier of Lake Charles, LA. and Marie McGee of Jennings, LA.; one brother, Ben Benoit of Texas; one sister, Mazie Caswell of Jennings, LA.; Thirteen Grandchildren, eleven Great Grandchildren and one Great Great Grandchild.
Mr. Acey was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Lucille Blanchard Benoit; two brothers, J.D. and Nugie Benoit and one sister, Zula Hoffpauir.
