Frances Crabtree Clifton, 70, of Big Spring, died on Sunday, October 19, 2003, in a Midland hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 21, 2003 at Trinity Memorial Park with Dr. David Ring, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating.

She was born on June 20, 1933, in Big Spring, Texas and married T. Richard Clifton on June 20, 1997 in Lovington, New Mexico.

Mrs. Clifton was a lifetime resident of Big Spring and was the daughter of Edward and Vera Crabtree.

She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone for 31 years.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter # 67.

Survivors include her husband, T. Richard Clifton of Big Spring; one sister, Fern Mascarella of Tucson, Arizona; one brother, Paul Crabtree of Sonoma, California; a niece, Glenda Empsall of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho; and a nephew, Pete Crabtree of Big Spring.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Curtis "Bo" Crabtree.
