Mrs. Moreland was a food server with the old Howard Johnson's Restaurant in La Plata, MD and Captain Billy's Crab House in Popes Creek, MD for 40 plus years and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Plata, MD. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and cooking. She was known for her famous sweet iced tea. She most enjoyed being with family and friends.
Daughter of the late Herman F. Adams and the late Sadie Irene Buckler Adams. Predeceased by her parents; her late husband, Joseph Morris Moreland; two brothers, John and Harry Adams; and three sisters, Helen Moreland, Marie Richards, and Mary Nimmerichter.
Survived by one son, Michael Joseph (Betty Robertson, significant other) Moreland of La Plata, MD; two daughters, Roberta L. (Robert) Middleton of Queenstown, MD and Rose Marie (Bill Pruitt, significant other) Holmes of La Plata, MD; two sisters, Betti Bridgett of Gallant Green, MD and Ella Mae Hulsey of Oxon Hill, MD; and three grandchildren, Linda Ross, Tina Rosier, and Maryann Lewis. Also survived by six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
