Paula Kathleen Corrigan, 104, of 1802 Golfview Drive #2, died at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2002, at her residence.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated by the Revs. Patrick Riordan and Francis Ryan, and Monsignor Edward Higgins at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Church.

The Resurrection Choir, under the direction of organist Geraldine Smith, will sing, "Bells of St. Mary's."

Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Great-granddaughter Emily Corrigan will play "Danny Boy" on the clarinet at the cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Solon and Baker Funeral Home. The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

Born Sept. 5, 1897, in Sunbury Township, she was the daughter of Patrick and Gertrude (Brarton) Trainor. She married Frank S. Corrigan on April 3, 1923, at St. Bernard's Church, Sunbury Township. He died April 13, 1980.

Surviving are daughters, Fran Corrigan, Streator; Paula (Mrs. Raymond) Cassady, of Syracuse, N.Y.; and Jan Meyers, Wilmette; a son, Laurence (Eleanor) Corrigan, Streator; 13 grandchidren and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, John Corrigan; a daughter-in-law, Anne Corrigan; brothers, Arthur, Emmett and William Trainor; and sisters, Bonnie, Helen, Louise and Mame Trainor, and Frances Willis.

She graduated from St. Mary's School and St. Xavier's High School in Chicago.

Following her husband's retirement from farming in 1953, she became a resident of Streator.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and its Altar and Rosary Society.
