Mr. Senn died of injuries received about three hours earlier when he was struck by a fast west bound Pennsylvania train as he was walking along the tracks about half way between the Grantfork crossing and the Wick Organ Co.
He was born on a farm east of Highland. After he grew up he farmed for a while in Highland and Missouri, but in 1890 he came to Highland and established a business of his own where the Klem Fashion Shop is today. He conducted the store for 10 years, after which he became a partner in the east End Mercantile Co. He was employed there for 20 years. Later he worked in the grocery department of C. Kinne & Co.
