Lynne Conn Clark, 51, of Basehor, KS passed away Mon., Dec. 24th after a 9 year battle with breast cancer at home surrounded by her family. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Fri., Dec. 28th at Nativity of Mary, 10017 E. 36th Terr., Independence, MO 64052. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Sat., Dec. 29th at Nativity of Mary. Interment will follow the services in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to MacKenzie's Educational Fund, in care of the funeral home, 701 N. 94th St., KCK or St. Luke's Hospice.
Lynne was born June 16, 1961 in Amarillo, TX to Rodney and Joyce A. Conn. She graduated from Basehor HS and graduated from Metropolitan Community College-Maple Woods. Lynne worked as a legal secretary for Black & Veatch for 15 years and then at Berkowitz, Oliver, Williams, Shaw and Eisenbrandt for the past six years. She was a member of the Nativity of Mary Catholic Church in Independence, MO. Lynne loved scrapbooking and attending all of her daughter MacKenzie's sporting events, her daughter meant the world to Lynne and she would do anything for her.
Lynne was preceded in passing by her paternal and maternal grandparents, her father Rodney Conn and her brother Stephen Conn.
She is survived by her daughter MacKenzie Clark, her mother Joyce Conn, her sister Jackie O'Bryan and her husband David, her brother Rodney Conn and his wife Patty, ex-husband Gary Clark as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other friends and family.
Special thanks to St. Luke's Hospice Team, Chaplain Doug Overall, Lisbeth, Heather, Susie & Blair for all their tender compassion and care of Lynne, and a very special thank you to Dr. Kelly Young, her oncologist and all the infusion nurses involved.
