Bonnie Sue Northcutt, daughter of Walter and Emma(Leatherman)Dunwoody was born on December 12, 1928 in New Sharon. She was a 1946 graduate of New Sharon High School. On August 12, 1948. Bonnie was united in marriage to Vernon Northcutt in the New Sharon United Methodist Church. Bonnie worked at the Taintor Savings Bank in New Sharon for a few years and then she worked for Mercy Clinic in Oskaloosa for 32 years, retiring in the early 1990's. Bonnie was a very talented pianist. She was the head of the music department for the New Sharon United Methodist Church for over 30 years. She enjoyed golfing and watching her grandchildren's school and sporting events. She had a sweet tooth and loved her sweets. Bonnie was a lifelong member of the New Sharon United Methodist Church and a charter member of Perairie Knolls Country Club.
Her memory is honored by her husband of 64 years, Vernon; her son, Eric(Kim)Northcutt of Huxley; her two grandchildren, Drew Northcutt of Des Moines and Nikki(Lloyd)Flanders of Huxley; one great granddaughter, Hailey Flanders; several nieces, nephew, cousins and friends.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; three stilborn childdren; a brother, Lowell Dunwoody; six sisters, Jacquetta Jarard, Wilma Swisher, Betty Groves. Floydine Dunwoody, Maxine Ferguson and Beverly Kein.
