After growing up and working for several years at the phone company in Omaha, Jo joined the Women's' Auxiliary Army Corps on September 1, 1943. After leaving the service, she married Frank on January 27, 1947, in Elkhorn, Nebraska, eventually settling in Tucson, Arizona.
Jo loved cooking, sewing and taking care of her children. She also had a great love of animals, which she passed on to others. She was a jack-of-all-trades. Jo could make something out of nothing and was able to
fix anything.
She was a faithful member of the Catholic Church and served in several volunteer positions. Besides being talented in all facets of the home, she always looked beautiful. She truly lived the saying, "Where there's
a will, there's a way."
