Funeral services were held Friday at 1:30 p.m. in Reed-Culver Chapel here for William R. Abel, 71, who died Wednesday in a Muskogee Hospital. Reverend Renus Warren officiated.
Burial was in Park Grove Cemetery at Broken Arrow.
Abel, who was born August 5, 1894, in Belfont [sic], Arkansas, was a retired farmer and oil field worker. A veteran of World War One, he had lived in Cherokee County 65 years.
