Gene Calvin Curry, 82 of McLoud, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012 in Midwest City Gene Calvin Curry was born April 19, 1930 in Oilton, the son Lester Glen Curry and Anna Leora (Robinson) Curry. He graduated form Cromwell High School. Gene served in the United States Army from 1948 to 1952. He retired from El Paso Natural Gas Company. He moved to McLoud in 2005.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Elsie Curry; and two brothers, Joe and Jack Curry.

He survived by four children, Connie June Gwaltney and husband Dennis of McLoud, Gloria Jean Duncan of Shawnee, Dianna Lynn James and husband Larry of Shawnee and John Calvin Curry and wife Alice of Stringtown; grandchildren, Anitra Ann Kennedy, Marisa Leora Gwaltney, Toby Servis, Miles Eugene Neaville and Sharina Louise Curry; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Pat Curry and wife Phyllis of Cromwell and David Curry of Wewoka; and several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
