Roy D. LaDuke, 85, entered eternal life on Tuesday evening, November 13, 2012 at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers, WI with his family at his side.

Roy was born August 26, 1927, in rural Mondovi, Wisconsin, son of Reid and Ada (Fleishauer) LaDuke. Upon graduating from Mondovi High School in 1945, Roy served honorably in the U.S. Army during WWII. On June 7, 1947, he married Joyce (Segerstrom) LaDuke, embarking on a journey covering 65 years of hapiness with his wife, four children, seven grandchildren, and four great- grandchildren.

His career as a Communications & Marketing Specialist with AT&T and Wisconsin Telephone allowed Roy the opportunity to interact with many different types of people, companies, and organizations within Wisconsin. He retired in 1984 after 36 years of dedicated service.

Roy was a Christian and active participant in the United Methodist Church; a brother of Freemasonry and member of Manitowoc Lodge No.65; a lifetime member of Kiwanis International, the Telephone Pioneers of America, and the Easter Seal Society of Manitowoc County.

Survivors include his wife Joyce, two daughters and sons-in-law, Ped and Bob Nordquist, Eau Claire and Cindy and David Meredith, Kensington, MD, and two sons and a daughter-in-law Jack and Laurie LaDuke, Manitowoc and Michael LasDuke, Denver, CO; seven grandchildren and fou9r Great-grandchildren. He also is survived by two brothers, Elmer (Majorie) LaDuke, River Falls and Ralph LaDuke, Amery, and a sister Florence Shea, Fullerton, CA; a sister-in-law Marion LaDuke, Mondovi. There are also many nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends who will miss Roy's presence very much.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Roger, Milton and Paul (Joyce) LaDuke, and a brother-in-law, Donald Shea.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Our Saviors United Methodist Church in Mondovi, WI with Pastor Dale Engen officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery in Mondovi with full military rites
conducted by the Mondovi Veteran's Group.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Church on Tuesday.
Kjentvet-Smith Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

The family would like to thank everyone who was a part of Roy's life and also extends a special thank you to the staff at the Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers, WI, for the hospice care and compassion shown towards ROY and his family.
