John Kuper Dies Wednesday, Rite Saturday.

John J. Kuper, 1453 Wisconsin Ave., S.W., died early Wednesday morning in the Veterans Hospital at Sioux, Falls where he had been a patient three weeks.

Kuper was born April 9, 1892 at Orient and lived at Orient and Miller most of his life. He moved to Huron in 1945 and was employed as a carpenter. He married Kathryn Walton in 1912 at Huron. She preceded him in death. He married Adeline Decker May 3, 1960

Kuper was a member of the Foreign Wars and American Legion.

Survivors include his widow, one daughter, Evelyn, (Mrs. Harold Lather), Miller; three step-stepdaughters; Eileen Decker, Huron, Mrs. Fred Beadles, Huron, Mrs. Ralph Barnum, Chedron, Nebraska; one sister, Anna Kelly, Miller; two brothers; Henry, Salem, Oregon, Joseph, Rockham; one half-brother, Frank Hand, Edgewood; one grandson and one great-grandson.

His parents, first wife, three sons, one sister and one brother preceded him in death.

The funeral service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Aaseth Funeral Home. The Rev. Joe E. Wipf will officiate. Burial will be in the G.A.R. Cemetery in Miller.
