Martha M. Cathcart, 83, of Bellefonte, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at the Fairways at Brookline in State College.

Born on May 29, 1929, in Pine Glenn, she was a daughter of the late William and Edith M. (Meeker) Hoover.

Her Husband, George A. Cathcart, survives her.

She attended schools in Pine Glenn and also at Snow Shoe High School. Mrs. Cathcart was a homemaker. She enjoyed caring for her grandchildren and loved flowers.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a former daughter in law, Kathy Cathcart, of State College; five grandchildren, Ann Cathcart, of State College, Katie Narber, of Lemont, Joseph Cathcart, of State College, April Cathcart, of Georgia, and Emery Cathcart, of Julian; a sister, Shirley Salvanish, of Bellefonte; and five great grandchildren. Two sons, Robert Cathcart in 1998 and Dennis Cathcart in 2011, preceded her in death. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with Pastor P. Stevens Lynn officiating.

Interment will take place at Centre County Memorial Park, State College.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Martha's memory may be made to the Home Nursing Agency Hospice, 201 Chestnut Street, Altoona, PA 16601.
