David graduated from the University of Kansas in 1970 with a degree in English and worked for IBM for 30 years in a number of sales, sales management, and technical support positions.
He was an avid amateur radio operator with the callsign KBØISS. David was also a member of the Elizabeth Watkins Society and the Medical School Dean's Club at the University of Kansas.
He is survived by one son, Matthew David Hueben of Texas; one sister, Missy Hueben Murray of Leawood, Kansas; two nephews, John Murray of Kansas City, Missouri and Geoffrey Murray of Leawood, Kansas.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 28, 2012 at Curé of Ars Catholic Church.
A private burial will be held at the Pleasant Hill, Missouri Cemetery.
