Funeral services for Mrs. Jane E. Knowlton, 85, widow a former postmaster Colonel Julius W Knowlton who died at the Sterling Widows Home, Prospect Street will be held at the service rooms of Wilmont and West 84 Lafayette St., Wednesday at 3:30 PM. Mrs. Knowlton was Miss Jane Elizabeth Fairchild of Newtown. She was married to Colonel Knowlton on December 17, 1866. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary December 16, 1916. She is survived by two nephews Harry F Moore of Newtown and Arthur H Moore of Bridgeport, two grand nieces and two grand nephews.
