Letha was the fourth of five children born to William Thomas "Tom" and Ella (Bryant) Collins. She had two siblings from her father's first marriage to Myrtee Bryant.

She married Cassius Sullivan on December 8, 1942 and they had five children, Geneva, Terrill, Juanita, Rodger and Janie. Juanita died at two months and Janie was stillborn. The other three as well as another son, Jimmy Collins, survived at the time of her death.

She was my step-grandmother.

Letha B. Sullivan, 92, of Danville, Indiana, formerly of Columbia, Kentucky, passed away December 27, 2012. She was born November 20, 1920 to the late William and Ella Collins. She was a social worker for 12 years for the State of Kentucky in Columbia retiring in 1985, when she moved to Plainfield/Danville to spend time with her family. Letha enjoyed gardening and flowers. She is survived by three sons, Jimmy (Shirley) Collins, Rodger (Patty), and Terrill (Shirley) Sullivan; a daughter, Geneva Underwood; grandchildren, Rick (Tammie), Terry (Joslyn), Shawn (Virginia), Chad, and Roshia (Matt); and great grandchildren, Tiffany and Kristen, Bryce and Brett, Lukas and Lillianna, Jade and Cyle and Reece; and a niece, Imogene Bryant of Columbia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cassius Sullivan and two brothers and four sisters. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 6:00 pm Sunday, December 30, 2012 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, Indiana. Funeral services will be at the Grissom-Martin Funeral Home in Columbia, Kentucky, at 1:00 pm (CST) on Wednesday, January 2, 2013. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery, Columbia, Kentucky.
