Mary Catherine Fitzpatrick McCart, 92, of Chico, CA, passed away on Dec. 28, 2012. Mary, known as "Granny" to her family, was greatly loved for her quiet and gentle ways. She never gave unsolicited advice but taught by her example how to live an honorable life. She will be remembered for her artistry in textiles, especially her beautiful quilts and exquisite crochet work. Mary was also an expert seamstress and made all her own clothes for years. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the lucky recipients of hand-made stuffed toys and doll clothes when they were growing up. Thank you, Granny, for your lessons and your love.
