He is survived by his wife, Sun Ae Wilson, his son, John Wilson of Stigler, OK, his daughter, Christy Wilson of Severn, MD, his daughter Penney Davis and husband Jared Davis of Fort Smith, AR, and his son, Glen Wilson of Ada, OK; four surviving brothers, Sharon Wilson of Ardmore, OK, Harvey Wilson of Durant, OK, Mark Wilson of Coppell, TX, and David Wilson of Stigler, OK, and five grandchildren, Christian Wilson-Castro of Severn, MD, Wayne and Hailey Wilson of Fort Smith, AR, and Maranda and Makenna Davis of Fort Smith, AR.
Wayne was a U.S. Army and Air Force Veteran and proudly devoted over 20 years of service to the U.S. military. Among his interests were reading, collecting memorabilia and genealogical research. Wayne contributed several articles to the local newspaper and wrote a short book about the Wilson family.
He was well-known for his offbeat sense of humor and delight at making conversation with others. He will be dearly missed and his spirit will always remain with us.
Honoring the request of the deceased, no funeral or memorial service will be held. Cremation will take place at King and Shearwood Funeral Home in Stigler, OK.
