EDGERTON - Nancy R. Altman, 74, of Edgerton, died Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at Parkview Memorial Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind., where she was a patient.
Born July 4, 1931, near Edgerton, to Devilla C. (Appel) and J. Arthur Blair, she married John P. Altman on April 15, 1951, in Edgerton, and he survives.
Employed as a teller at the Edgerton State Bank, First National Bank and the Hicksville Bank for many years, she had also worked at the Bryan Fabric Center.
Baptized on April 26, 1943, at the Edgerton Church of Christ by Pastor Harry Mason, she was a member of the Bryan First Church of Christ where she was active on the Mission Committee and was a member of the Senior Saints. She was also a member of the Priscilla Club in Edgerton, served many years on the election board in Edgerton and was a member of the Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers Hospital Auxiliary.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Fred (Cindy) Dick and Diane Altman, both of Bryan, Mrs. Hugh (Jane) Perry of Edgerton and Mrs. Jay (Linda) Leppelmeier of McComb; five granddaughters and two grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Lois Higginbotham in 1991.
Visitation will be held Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton.
Services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Bryan First Church of Christ with Pastor Larry Snavely to officiate. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton.
Memorials may be made to the Bryan First Church of Christ, the Edgerton Free Store, Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers Auxiliary or to a charity of the donor's choice.
