Mrs. Carrie Birkhimer, 81, 312 Mirabeau St., Greenfield, died Wednesday, Aug. 23, 1972, at Greenfield Area Medical Center.
She was born March 26, 1891, Pike County, the daughter of James Wesley Ramsey and Frances Flora Jordan Ramsey. Her husband, James Albert Birkhimer, whom she married Nov. 20, 1909, in Pike Co., Ohio, died August 5, 1958.
She was also predeceased by four brothers and one sister.
She is survived by one son, Robert W. Birkhimer, Greenfield Rt. 3; three daughters, Mrs. John (Frances) Pummell, Mrs. Lawrence (Ethel)Benner and Mrs. Harry (Cleo) Willis, all of Greenfield; three sisters, Mrs. Ogle Murphy, Hillsboro, Mrs. Harland Matthews and Mrs. Stephen Sloan, both of Springfield; three brothers, Clyde Ramsey, Greenfield, John Ramsey, Greenfield Rt. 2, and Albert Ramsey, Toledo;
12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday at 2 P.M. at the Murray Funeral Home in Greenfield with Rev. Noble Miller and Rev. Robert Blaine officiating and burial in the Greenfield Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home after 2 P.M. Friday.
