SALT LAKE CITY
- Arthur Ballingham, 82, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2003 at the LDS Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Arthur was born on May 21, 1921 in Grouse Creek, Utah to Arthur and Mary Jane Paskett Ballingham.
He married Mary Magdalina Baxter, January 25, 1943 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death.
He married Angela Doney Graham on September 21, 1992 in the Ogden LDS Temple.
He was very active in the LDS church. He served as Ward Librarian and eight years as an Ordinance Worker in the Salt Lake Temple. He retired from the Southern Pacific Railroad after 43 years of service. He proudly served his country and was a veteran of World War II. He truly enjoyed being a grandfather and never tired of spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Angela; children; Glen, Martin, Mary, Roger, Grant, Gilbert and Rilla; step-children; Craig, Kelly, Bryan and Jerilyn, 35 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Esmond, sister, Delores, son Harold and grandson, Jason.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2003 at Edghill 1st Ward, 1750 South 1500 East, Salt Lake City, Utah. Family and friends may call at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 North Fairfield Road, Monday from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday at the Church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Interment, Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
