Mr. Stackpole was a member of Schooley's Mountain Presbyterian Church in Schooley's Mountain, NJ; he retired as a Chief Petty Officer with the US Navy; he was a member of the Passaic County Electrical Contractors Association; former Assistant Chief of Passaic Valley Hose Co. #2 of the West Paterson Fire Department; a member of the New Jersey State Fire Chief's Association, the West Paterson and New Jersey State Exempt Fireman's Associations and served as a weekly volunteer at the New Jersey Fireman's Home in Boonton, NJ.
Survivors include: his wife, the former Gail Perugini; his daughter, Tracey Gelsinger and her husband, Timothy of Long Valley, NJ; his two sons, Robert H. Stackpole, Jr. and his wife, Margarita of Vernon, NJ and Michael J. Stackpole and his wife, Tracy of North Canton, OH; his sister, Joan Miller of Spring Hill, Fla.; his two brothers, Charles Stackpole of York, SC and Douglas of Stackpole of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; and his fourteen grandchildren: Christopher, Melissa and Melinda Stackpole, Adam, Tyler, Anthony, Nathan and Michaela Stackpole and Ryan, Matthew, Shawn, Megan, Cody and Morgan Gelsinger.
Mr. Stackpole was a rock for his family and friends; always there to help when help was needed and willing to give you the shirt off his back if you asked for it. He is missed dearly by all who knew him. You are always in our prayers dad and we look forward to the day we can see each other again.
