Mrs. Celia Alice Ann Toms, well known and highly respected life-long resident of Hauvers district and the widow of John Hampton** Toms, died Thursday evening at 5'clock at the home of Mrs. Albert Lewis, Foxville, aged 81 years, 2 months and 12 days. She was a member of the Methodist church near Garfield. She is survived by three grandchildren; Mrs. Keller Moser, Thurmont; Mrs. Charles Hoffman, Hagerstown, and Harry Toms, U.S. Army.
Funeral Sunday afternoon with service in the Methodist church near Garfield at 4 o'clock. Interment in adjoining cemetery. M. L. Creager and Son, funeral directors.
** correct spelling is Hamilton. Grandma Celie's housekeeper wrote her obituary and didn't know how to spell John Toms' middle name.
