Timothy Vincent Higgins, better known as Vinnie, 16, died Sunday, December 2, 2012 at his residence in Alpine, California after a long battle with cancer. Vinnie was born February 27, 1996 in Alpine to parents Timothy and Christy Higgins. He was a junior at Steele Canyon High School where he enjoyed participating in the school's football program. He was also a member of Queen of Angels Church in Alpine. Vinnie, known for his kind heart, winning smile and deep friendships, was confirmed just this May at Queen of Angels Parish

A Vigil Service will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at East County Mortuary & Cremation Service, 374 N. Magnolia Avenue in El Cajon, California. A funeral Mass will be held for Vinnie Higgins at Queen of Angels Church in Alpine, California on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 10:00 AM immediately followed by the Graveside Service at Alpine Cemetery. Friends and family are then invited to fellowship with the family and continue the Celebration of Life for Vinnie with a reception to be held at the Alpine Community Center, 1830 Alpine Boulevard in Alpine, California from 12:30 PM - 3:30 PM.

In addition to his parents, Tim and Christy Higgins of Alpine, Vinnie will be greatly missed by sisters, Samantha Higgins and Jessica Higgins of Alpine and brother Glendon Roeper of San Diego and nephew Zaden.
