He was 26 years old and was not married. It was reported that He was killed by a hostile exploding artillery round. He was born in Greenville, NC, August 12, 1942. His body was recovered. Sp4 Armwood is on panel 65W, Line 003 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for more than 1 year.

He is the Son of Mr Jesse James Armwood Sr and Mrs Roberta J Armwood, Route 2, Box 152, Vanceboro, NC. He is the Father of Anthony Armwood.
