Helen C. L. Green
Helen Corbett Ladd Green, a founding member of both the Town Club and Junior League of Portland, died Friday in Portland. She was 87.
Mrs. Green was a Portland native and lived in Southwest Portland. Her late grandfather, William Sargent Ladd, had a major influence in Oregon history as a banker, industrialist and transportation tycoon. Her son, Alan Jr., is a former president of the Port of Portland and is chairman of the Federal Maritime Commission.
Surviving in addition to her son are a daughter, Helen G. Labbe of Portland; five grandchildren and seven great-granchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at River View Cemetery Chapel. The family suggests remembrances be contributions to the Oregon Humane Society.
