Bob was the son of Helen C. (Toner) and Charles A. Culhane and the brother of Paul, Donald and William Culhane. On November 11, 1950 he married the late and lovely Dorothy "Dee" (Casey). From this union, there were six children, Michael, Robert, Mark, Peggy, Helen and Maryellen, and nine grandchildren..Bob was educated in the Boston school system..He served in the U.S.Navy as a Submariner during World War II in the South Pacific.. He worked as a Master Electrician till he was appointed to the Boston Fire Department in 1952. Bob went on to become a Fire Lieutenant in 1970 and later, retired in 1981...He was quite a sports enthusiast and had one wish like thousands of others...to see the Boston Red Sox win a world series in his lifetime...Unfortunately, he passed away during the year that they won..Bob and "Dee" were avid Patriot fans also...He is sadly missed by all that knew him..Walk slowly Bob, we'll catch up...God Bless...
