EX-MAINTENANCE WORKER, 68 Ralph S. Wetzel Sr., 68, a retired maintenance employee, died Sunday of cancer at his Levittown home.
Mr. Wetzel was born and educated in Ashland, Schuylkill County, and served in the Army in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He resided in Levittown for 36 years.
He worked in maintenance at James D. Morrissey Inc. in Philadelphia for eight years until retiring on disability in 1983. Earlier, he was employed for 11 years at Marshall Maintenance in Trenton.
A 32d-degree Mason, Mr. Wetzel was a member and past master of Harry A. Houseman Lodge 717 in Northeast Philadelphia and belonged to the Scottish Rite's Lehigh Valley Consistory in Allentown.
He also was a member of VFW Post 7654 and American Legion Post 0434, both in Ashland.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Georgine Rosti Wetzel; a son, Ralph S. Jr.; a daughter, Sandra Wetzel Ennis; two brothers; four sisters; and five grandchildren.
Friends may call after 11 a.m. today at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Rd. in Levittown, where a service will be held at noon. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Rd., Bensalem.
The family suggests contributions to Faith Reformed Church, Box 490, Levittown, Pa. 19058.
