Carmella Marie Spiccia was born to Leo Mola and Carmela Giglio Mola on October 11, 1916 in East Chicago, Indiana.

She married Michele Spiccia and together they had three children; Josephine, Carmelina, Michael Jr.

Carmella with her husband was the proprietor of Spiccia's Restaurant which was opened from 1940 to 2001. It was located in Whiting, Indiana.

She was a member of the National Restaurant Association, Caesare Battisti Lodge #27 Italian Women's Club, a member of Hammond, Whiting Chamber of Commerce, a member of Daughters of Isabelle, a former member of Northern Indiana Symphony Association and was a member of St. Matthias Roman Catholic Church.

She passed away January 5, 2005 at Community Hospital in Munster,
She is entombment Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, Indiana

She is survived by her loving children: two daughters: Josephine (Ugo) Arrighi of Hammond, IN, Carmelina Spiccia of Crown Point; one son: Michael Jr. (Linda) Spiccia of Schererville; and her dear granddaughter, Patricia Spiccia of Schererville; one sister: Rose (Sebastian) Paratore of Schererville; one brother: Anthony Mola of Crown Point; one sister-in-law, Bernice Mola of Highland; and many loving nephews, nieces and cousins.
Carmella was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mike Spiccia, Sr.; and her dearest sister, Angela Mola, and brothers, James Mola and Albert Mola, 2 sisters-in-law, Julia Mola and Phyllis Mola.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 10, 2005 at 9:45 a.m. from Burns Funeral Home, 101st & Broadway in Crown Point and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Matthias Church, 101 W. Burrell Drive, Crown Point, IN with Rev. Terry Steffen, officiating. Entombment Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN.
Visitation on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 101st & Broadway, Crown Point. Prayer Vigil on Sunday at 4:00 p.m.
Carmella along with her late husband was proprietor of the former Spiccia's Restaurant since June 21, 1940 to November 2001.

Carmella was known for her pleasant, wonderful personality and her beautiful kind smile and above all her love of people, family, and friends. She was a loving mother and grandmother whose life was dedicated to her family and her love of baking and cooking. Her faith in God was never ending. Carmella was a women of Elegance and loved the simple things of life..."The Love of family around her".
