July 1931. Mr. and Mrs. Chris Rawles of Guild, Idaho, have a fine ten-pound baby girl, born Monday night at the home of the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Fillmore. Mother and baby are doing fine. Mrs. Rawles was formerly Hazel Fillmore. –The Daily Herald (Provo, Utah), Wed., July 1, 1931, Page 3.

September 1933. Mr. and Mrs. Chris Rawles of Mack’s Inn, Ida. are the proud parents of an eight pound son, born Monday at their home, according to word received here by the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Fillmore. Mrs. Rawles was formerly Hazel Fillmore. The youngster has one sister. –The Daily Herald, Provo, Utah, Tues., Sept. 19, 1933.

May 1940. The United States Federal Census shows Chris Rawles and his wife, Hazel, at Mack Inns, in Island Park, Idaho with their two children: Christine, 8, and George Melvin, 6. Chris is employed as a cook and Hazel as a waitress.

June 1958. VERDUN, France. Army Specialist Third Class George M. Rawles, son of Christopher E. Rawles, Provo, Utah, recently was awarded the good Conduct Medal in France while serving with the U.S. army Financing and Accounting Office. Specialist Rawles, a cashier, received the decoration for his exemplary behavior, efficiency and Fidelity. Rawles entered the Army in August 1956 and received basic training at Fort Lewis, Wash. December 1977. Special guests at the wedding ceremony performed in the Sunset Ward in Provo on January20, 1978 for Christie Frampton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. “Steve” Johnson, Provo, and the late Stanley Frampton, and Dan Snyder will be Christie’s grandfather, Chris Rawles, Provo, and Dan’s grandmothers, Ina Smith, Provo, and Mildred Snyder, Spanish Fork.
