MEBANE: Fletcher Kennette McAdams, 88 of Mebane died at 3:30 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2002 after a lengthy illness at the Presbyterian Home of Hawfields, where he was a resident.
A naitve of Orange County, he was the husband of Joyce Moore McAdams and the son of the late Lytle & Neppie Kersey McAdams. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in Italy and North Africa. He was a partner in Reliable Furniture Co., and a member of the Mebane United Methodist Church, where he served as Sunday school superintendent, teacher and financial secretary. He was a member of the Mebane Exchange Club, where he served as president and was also past Worthy Patron of the Bringham Lodge.
He was the father of 2 children and 4 grandchildren.
