Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Corley Funeral Chapel for O. C. Alexander, 74, of Purdon who died Monday in Dallas. The Rev. Robert Seago will officiate and burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.

Alexander is a native of Bastrop County and had lived in Purdon since 1934.

Husband of Lydia Eugene (Baker) Alexander - Married Oct 18, 1923; son of Joseph Clark Alexander and Katherine (Eppler) Alexander.

He was a blacksmith and a welder.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. O. C. Alexander, Purdon; one son, O. C. Alexander, Jr., Garland; five daughters, Mrs. Dewitt Wallace, Houston, Mrs. Katherine Sanders, Pinehurst, Mrs. Neva Thomas, Borger, Mrs. Ester Green and Mrs. Cleo Pannell, both of Purdon; 12 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-children; one sister, Mrs. C. E. David, Lufkin.

Pallbearers will be C. D. Putman, C. E. Thomas, Albert Mosley, B. B. Huggins, Sam Peden, and Robert Bittner.
