Margaret married Levi Fitz, 3 Sep 1868, at the German Reformed Church in Frederick, MD. They had 4 children all of whom were living as of 1900 (per Margaret's census record):

-Rosa Belle "Rosie" Fitz (1869-1925)
-Charles C. Fitz (b.1870)
-Ely Fitz (Ely was male, dates unknown)
-William Henry "Willie" Fitz (1879-1966)

Margaret is buried in Wellers Cemetery in Thurmont, MD in the same cemetery as her parents and for some reason is listed with her maiden name rather than her married name. An article in the Frederick Post about her husband written after her death, refers to her as his wife, seeming to indicate that they did not divorce. He was later buried in Germantown Bethel Cemetery with other members of his parents' family. He was known for being a "mountain man", often disappearing for significant lengths of time. She was listed as head of household living with two of her sons on the 1900 census, without Levi. The 1920 census lists Levi without any other family members. It is not clear or certain, but it is possible that they were estranged.
