He was born 8 Sep 1927, the fourth of nine children born to Stephen N Ewen & his wife Martha "Eleanor" in Worden, Montana. He died on 31 Dec 2012, at the age of 85, surrounded by his family.

He graduated from Huntley Project Schools in 1945, shortly after he enlisted in the United States Air Force for four years.

He married his lifelong love, Doris Oblander, on 5 Nov 1949. To that union four children were born. He farmed & raised cattle around the Huntley Project area until 1995.

After retirement he enjoyed traveling south during the winters, but always kept close track of what was going on at home. He served on the Farmers Union Oil Company board for over 30 years. He was a member of the ASCS board of directors, the Lions Club and Bethlehem Congregational Church. He loved farming and ranching, even after retirement he continued to read farming magazines and kept up on all the new farming technology. He loved being around his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who all brought him so much joy. He had a great sense of humor that continued right up to his death.

Keith is survived by his wife Doris of 63 years; daughter Cynthia Ewen (Ron Schessler) of Billings; sons Forrest "Butch" (Sherry) Ewen, Daniel (Janet) Ewen, and Clayton Ewen of Ballantine; sister Marjorie Durand of Boston; brother Bob (Teresa) Ewen of Billings; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Keith is preceded in death by his parents; sisters Ada Bohl and Marlene Spooner; and brothers Ed, Clyde, Richard and Oliver Ewen.

Memorial Services will be held at Bethlehem Congregational Church on Saturday, 5 Jan 2013, at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethlehem Congregational Church in Worden.
