Mrs. Louise Hartung Gebauer passed away Friday at 1:30 p.m. at her home on Main street in Troy.
She was born in Edwardsville on April 17, 1869, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hartung, and had attained the age of 81 years, seven months and seven days. She was married to William J. Gebauer on June 22, 1892. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary eight years ago.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Wilbur of Herculaneum, Mo., and Alfred of St. Louis; six daughters, the Misses Louise, Alma and Flora Gebauer at home, Mrs. Leona Watt of Collinsville, Mrs. Sylvannia Mantle of Lone Pine, Calif., and Mrs. Marie Hazzard of Troy; one sisters, Mrs. J.H. Blixen and a brother, Louis H. Hartung of this city; two daughters-in-law; two sons-in-law; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. One son preceded her in death in infancy.
She was confirmed at Eden Evangelical church in this city at the age of 13. She was a member of the Friedens Evangelical church in Troy and of its Women's guild in 1893 and the Pride of the West Rebekah lodge No. 544 of Troy since June, 1908.
The body will lie in state at the Edwards funeral home at Troy until noon Monday when it will be taken to the Friedens Evangelical and Reformed church where services will be held at 2 o'clock with the Rev. R.H. Mornhinweg officiating.
Interment will be in Friedens cemetery.
